Document Management helps companies manage business documents directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, connecting ERP records to a structured document repository based on SharePoint Online or Azure Blob Storage.

With Document Management, users can upload, download, delete and access documents from a dedicated FactBox available on key Business Central entities, without leaving their daily working environment.

Document Management enables you to

• Access, upload, download and delete documents directly from Business Central
  Use a dedicated document FactBox to manage files linked to Business Central records.
• Choose your preferred storage platform
  Configure the app to work with SharePoint Online or Azure Blob Storage.
• Organize documents by customer, vendor or document
  Define whether sales and purchase documents should be grouped under the related customer/vendor or managed with their own main folder structure.
• Generate folders automatically
  Create predefined folder structures, including nested folders, directly from the FactBox.

Document Management provides document management capabilities for the following entities:

Master data

• Customers, Vendors, Projects

Sales documents

• Sales Quote, Sales Orders
• Posted Sales Invoices, Credit Memos

Purchase documents

• Purchase Orders
• Posted Purchase Invoices. Credit Memos

Setup requirements

Document Management requires a Microsoft Entra App Registration to enable the connection with the configured storage platform.
